The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) continued its statewide Thank You Tour on Tuesday with a remarkable stop in Igboho, where the party's governorship candidate, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, and his running mate, Engr. Muftau Open-Salawu, received a rousing welcome from party leaders, stakeholders and supporters across Irepo, Oorelope and Olorunsogo Local Government Areas.
The venue was filled with enthusiastic party members who gathered in large numbers to celebrate the APM leadership and reaffirm their commitment to the party's mission as preparations gradually gather momentum for the 2027 general elections.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Adekanmbi expressed sincere appreciation to party executives, leaders and members for the confidence reposed in him during the governorship primary. He described his emergence as the party's candidate as a victory for every loyal and hardworking APM member across Oyo State.
He emphasized that the future success of the party depends on unity, discipline and collective responsibility, urging members to remain focused and avoid anything capable of creating unnecessary division within the party.
The governorship candidate assured supporters that an APM-led administration would uphold fairness, justice and inclusive governance, promising equal opportunities for all members and citizens regardless of their status or background.
Adekanmbi further stated that his government would operate an open-door leadership style, where major decisions would be reached through consultations with party leaders, stakeholders and the people. He added that grassroots development, stronger local governance and people-centered policies would remain key priorities of his administration.
Also addressing the gathering, the deputy governorship candidate, Engr. Muftau Open-Salawu, thanked party faithful for their steadfast support and encouraged them to sustain the growing momentum as the party continues to strengthen its structures ahead of the 2027 polls.
The visit concluded with renewed enthusiasm as party leaders and members from the three local government areas reaffirmed their loyalty to the Allied Peoples Movement and pledged to work together to secure victory for the Adekanmbi/Open-Salawu ticket in the 2027 governorship election.
